Catholicism and Gay Pride

Jason Evert

Each June businesses, individuals, and organizations raise the rainbow flag to show their support for the LGBTQ community. But one organization is noticeably absent in this celebration: the Catholic Church.

Why is this? Is it because the Catholic Church actually hates gays, or is it because the Church has a more profound understanding of love — an understanding that goes to the very depths of our identity as men and women created in God’s image?

In this episode of the “Lust is Boring” podcast, Hudson Byblow joins Jason to answer timely questions such as:

  • Is it okay to attend a gay wedding?
  • Can I attend a gay pride parade?
  • Should conversion therapy be banned?
  • Isn’t the Church’s teaching outdated?
