JOEY PONTARELLI
Watching his parents’ marriage end in divorce, Joey feared repeating the cycle in his own marriage. Feeling unequipped to build love that lasts, he began studying beautiful couples, experts, research, and most importantly, God’s plan for human love. Now, as a husband and father, he shares what he’s learned so young people can break the cycle of dysfunction and build authentic love.
Joey has spoken across the U.S. and abroad, including at Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ave Maria University, the Archdioceses of Denver and San Francisco, the Diocese of San Diego, FOCUS, and more. He’s been a guest on Relevant Radio’s The Drew Mariani Show, Dr. Bob Schuchts’s Restore the Glory podcast, and Jason Evert’s Lust is Boring podcast. Joey is the author of the book, It’s Not Your Fault: A Practical Guide to Navigating the Pain and Problems from Your Parents’ Divorce. His articles have been published by Chastity Project, FOCUS, the Culture Project, and Shalom Tidings Magazine. Joey graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville with a bachelor’s degree and from Benedictine College with a master’s degree. Most importantly, Joey is husband to Brigid and father to their children.
Why Jason endorses Joey:
“While chastity is an essential component of building healthy relationships, other virtues need to be developed for love to flourish. Considering how many young people haven’t had the opportunity to see what healthy marriages are supposed to look like, it’s essential that they be given the tools necessary to divorce-proof their own future marriage. In Joey Pontarelli’s outstanding presentation, he offers young listeners seven practical strategies to build lasting love.”
